| Lisa is the CEO and brainchild behind the modern fusion food experience of Sweet Mandarin, an award winning Chinese restaurant in Manchester, which she set up with her two sisters. Sweet Mandarin has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Times, on BBC Newsnight and on the front cover of the Shanghai Daily. Lisa is a respected role model for the Chinese community and female entrepreneurs alike. Through brand leverage Lisa has taken the media by storm, especially through the book 'Sweet Mandarin' which charts the story of three generations of Chinese women and their journey from East to West, soon to be made into a primtime BBC drama. She was appointed to the management of the Wai Yin Women's society, the main centre point for the Chinese community. She brings commercial expertise to the organisation, helping to ensure sustainability. Lisa believes passionately that business and schools must interact and she regularly speaks at schools to encourage pupils to consider enterprise as a career. As a student she struggled at school herself and through her story she aims to inspire others and give them confidence to succeed.
