Developing the concept with Ivan Massow (her mentor from the Channel 4 programme Make Me a Million, which she won in November 2005), the company’s shampoos and body washes are now stocked in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons and Asda. Thanks to a partnership with distribution specialists Ceuta Healthcare, which handles the day-to-day running of the business, the brand is expanding abroad in Ireland, Malta, New Zealand and Australia. Leila recently sold Halos n Horns and has branched out in a totally new market – Medical Tourism.
This was prompted by a personal need, seeing the poor state of UK hospitals, waiting times and MRSA and being amazed by foreign hospitals she decided to have treatment abroad….only there was no travel policy available. Her new business, Angelis Insurance launches in Aug/Sept and is the first Insurance for this market. Leila also works with Medicetics Skin Clinic and have helped the create the brand design and launch. Leila will talk about her business journey from start up to rapid growth internationally and then sale of the business and into another venture.

One must now keep financial records under the rules of Self-Assessment. The easiest method is by a simple cash book system showing income and expenditure. This can be done manually or by computerised systems.
You need to understand where income is coming from and where expenses are going. A business is about producing profit and generating cash. How does one know when this is happening or not? If there is no control mechanism the chances are that one will not know until it is too late.
The workshop will explain how to structure and use financial records, develop a monitoring system and be aware of actions that should be taken.

Mission Growth™ is a facilitator-led group containing up to 15 women from non-competing businesses who meet for ½ day every month to address their business issues. It's like having your own virtual board of Non-Executive Directors on tap to offer support, ideas and hold you accountable for the actions you choose to take.
Each group is structured to give members opportunities to focus on issues that affect the performance of their business. They gain new insights and learning from the experiences of other group members that will help address existing business issues and those that may arise in the future.
High quality facilitation - All of our facilitators are carefully selected and trained in our Mission Growth™ process. They know members are focused on getting value from their investment of time and money, and use this as their guiding principle when supporting members at the meetings.
Each group has confidentiality high on the agenda which helps to build trust. As a result, members feel comfortable to share their issues with others from non-competing businesses.
