Your 2021 event: What you need to make it luxury

If you’re currently planning your 2021 event there are some great ways to make it stand out from the crowd. If you are expecting people to invest their time in attending, then as well as a top-notch event programme that meets their needs, the promise of luxury touches can make all the difference in the world for those who work hard and don’t often get the chance for a change of scene. Luxury means something different to everyone, but in short, you want your guests to feel special, to feel safe and cared for and to each have a moment where they step back and think ‘wow’.

We’re going to take a look at some of the great things you can add to your event which are sure to impress all of your guests, add the luxury flair you are wanting to achieve and give those  reassuring and ‘wow’ moments which will make all this planning worth it.

Venue

The venue is really important for any event. If you want it to be outdoors, think about having a back-up in case the weather takes a turn for the worst. If you don’t want a classic gazebo, you could look into festival-like tipi to add a unique twist to your event. Alternatively, instead of choosing a classic exhibition and events space, you could choose a grand manor or stately home to host your event in. Your venue will be determined on your guest list, but there is a range of different venues suitable for whatever your theme is.

Think about the food

If you’re serving food at your event be sure to offer a selection that caters to a range of dietary requirements. For people with restricted diets, for whatever reason, then being catered for with good food is in itself a luxury that will earn you their eternal gratitude. If you want to be seen as a cut above, then make sure that you avoid the notorious ‘rubber chicken’ beloved of mass caterers.  Canapés and hors d’oeuvres add a touch of class to networking sessions or receptions.

Luxury amenities

Depending on your venue, you may need to hire toilets for your event. However, if you are looking to host a luxury event, standard portaloos may not be up to the standard you are wanting. Instead, look at hiring a luxury portable toilet range. Stocked with luxurious soap, moisturiser and hand towels – these luxury units are sure to impress guests and are suitable for any event which needs a toilet facility.

Quality entertainment

Any entertainment you have will again depend on the nature of the venue. If you don’t have room for a full orchestra, it isn’t going to be feasible. Instead, think practically; you can have a live band that suits the size of the venue, or dancers or even a close-up magician who can move around guests and entertain small groups. You may even want an after-dinner speaker or comedian to keep the excitement flowing into the night. There are many entertainment options to choose from to suit your venue and type of event. If it’s a classy event though, make sure that the entertainers are in line with that in the way they dress.

Organising a luxury event isn’t always easy, but take a step back and imagine if you were a guest and think about what you would love to see at an event and try to incorporate into yours. This way you can try and capture what you think your guests would want and enjoy.
